Yesterday morning the IJM Chapter took resources from World Visions creative activism campaign and constructed a thought-provoking activity: “Lives on a Christmas Tree”. The initial thought for the resources we received, which were painted cards of individuals that are living with HIV and AIDs, were to be hung on clothes lines, but we didn’t have any clothes lines so we had to be a bit thrifty. We received a suggestion to use the Christmas trees in two lobbies of our school, so we went at it at 9:30am in the morning hanging pictures all over the trees. It was a wonderful display of lives that are not forgotten and will not be forgotten over the holidays. It’s easy for us to go to a store and buy a gift for someone, but how about going beyond that this year and giving the gift of life!
